Educational/Professional Background

Dr. William T. Miller earned his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati in 2023, following a Master’s degree in Applied Research Methods in 2021. A seasoned evaluator, Dr. Miller has led projects across 14 states within the judicial, correctional, and social service sectors. His portfolio includes the evaluation of specialty and family court services, correctional officer training, guardianship monitoring programs, and offender interventions. Using quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods strategies, he also specializes in evaluating assessment tools for youth involved in the juvenile justice and child welfare systems.

Research/Practice Interests

Dr. Miller’s research is dedicated to improving assessment strategies that identify service needs for youth involved in the justice and child welfare systems. Beyond assessment, he focuses on the development and efficacy of support programs designed to improve outcomes for individuals involved in both systems.
